NSK couplings


NSK couplings are designed to connect pipelines. All elements of the coupling (except for the elastic seal) are made of stainless steel.

Installation of NSK couplings replaces flanged and welded joints. When connecting pipes with NSK couplings, time, space and welding materials are saved.

Couplings are designed for use on thermal, nuclear, hydroelectric power plants, oil and gas production, oil and gas processing, petrochemical, chemical, pulp and paper and other industries for the needs of the national economy, including the use on sea, river vessels and platforms, as well as ships of the Military -Marine fleet.

NSK couplings are manufactured in two different versions: with an anchor system and without an anchor system.


Couplings with an anchor system have two special anchor rings. When installing the coupling on pipes, as well as when the pressure increases, the anchor rings are embedded in the pipe. This serves as an additional fastening of the pipelines under axial load due to the pressure inside the pipes. Anchor rings, due to contact with the pipe, are an earthing conductor.



Couplings without anchoring system are installed on fixed pipes.

Any NSK coupling consists of a body, a sealing collar and a locking device. The seal is installed between the body and the pipe. When tightening the locking device, the diameter of the body decreases and the seal is pressed against the pipe surface. The screws (bolts) of the locking device must be tightened with the force indicated on the label or in the passport of the coupling.

NSK couplings are designed for installation on metal pipelines (pipelines made of carbon steel, stainless steel, cast iron).




Repair couplings

Repair and connecting couplings NSK are intended for repairing pipes with longitudinal cracks, local crevice and through corrosion, damage to welded seams, pipe fractures. They can also be used to connect pipes of equal diameter.

Installation of repair MUFT NSK allows to eliminate the leak without dismantling the pipeline, repairs can be carried out under pressure.

Couplings can be installed on pipes made of steel, cast iron, asbestos cement, steel coated with polyethylene, polyvinyl chloride, reinforced fiberglass and polyethylene with diameters from 48 to 609 mm.



Fire resistant couplings

Flame retardant couplings are couplings in a flame retardant enclosure.

In the event of a fire, the fireproof casing increases in volume - its thermal expansion (swelling) occurs with a sharp rise in temperature.

An insulating layer is formed. This layer prevents the sleeve from heating up, which keeps the connection tight.

The fireproof casing is lightweight and lightweight.

Due to this, the weight and dimensions of the coupling increase slightly.
